Flotilla by Mario Alejandro Ariza — Deadline: April 1, 2016

The Rising Waters Poetry Flotilla invites you to join in a celebration of ours cities’ most, despotic future. Come along for a ride down the canals that crisscross Miami and keep it above water. Help us remind the residents who live along these waterways of the looming threat of climate change by reading ecologically themed poetry, making music, and taking part in a unique spectacle. Think Waterworld. Think Mad Max on Miami’s canals. The event is BYOB: Bring Your Own Boat, though kayak rentals at Matheson Hammock are available. Please bring up to 5 minutes of your favorite, or your own original poetry, prose, or music. Any and all musical instruments are heartily welcome. Bring body paint and bug spray.
