The University of Miami Intensive English Program (UM IEP) and O, Miami poetry festival present Found In Translation: Mother Tongues for New Ears, a poetry reading and ice cream social. Ten international students will read poems in their native language and then in an English translation in order to promote affirmation of cultural and individual identity.

The UM IEP provides English language and study skills instruction for international students who want to enter a U.S. university. Facilitating intercultural understanding, the IEP engages students from dozens of countries.
