Ross Gay is the author of Bringing the Shovel Down (University of Pittsburgh Press, 2011) and Against Which (CavanKerry Press, 2006). His poems have appeared in American Poetry Review, Atlanta Review, Harvard Review, Columbia: A Journal of Poetry and Art, and Margie: The American Journal of Poetry, among other places. He teaches at Indiana University and in the low-residency program at New England College. He is a Cave Canem fellow and a demolition man.
